Resistance Training Using a Backpack! Empty Resistance Training Using a Backpack!

Resistance training requires resistance as the name implies which can be difficulty to have at home without access to free-weights, or exercise machines. However, a backpack can be used to easily create resistance that can be used for a variety of exercises. In order to add resistance to the backpack simply add heavy household items like jar of tomato sauce, packs of rice, books and whatever other heavy items you can find! You can load/deload the backpack according to the exercise you are performing. Here are some exercises that can be performed with a backpack: bicep curl, overhead tricep extensions, lateral raises, shrugs, shoulder presses. There are likely many more but these are the exercises that I have been doing with a backpack during my workouts at home!
